Apeldoorn is a quiet town in the middle of the Netherlands. It is beautifully situated in the country's largest nature area 'de Veluwe'. Starting from Apeldoorn you can make beautiful cycling tours or long hikes in the forests. Also there is a lot to do and see in the vicinity of Apeldoorn. The top-attraction is the worldfamous primate park Apenheul, where you meet hundreds of monkeys that live in great freedom in the forest. I used to work there, so I am not objective, but on the other hand have a lot of info about the park.
