<font color=dk blue font face arial b>We visit Bonaire regularly, in the latter part of September with the KSC Barracuda Dive Club from Brevard county Florida. This the third annual trip. The first trip was with 24 divers, the second 30, and this year there were 32. We stayed at the Buddy Dive Resort. The first year we stayed at the Sand Dollar. The Sand Dollar's dive shop, restaurant, and boat dock was wiped out in 1999 November's hurricane waves. They have rebuilt the restaurant, but not on the water and it lacks the ambience of the old one. There have been several closures of resorts on the island, the ones remaining are all in a row. They are Sand Dollar, Buddy's, Lion's and Don's Habitat. None were doing a rushing business. Our 32 people was the majority of the guests at Buddy's and the others seemed near deserted. |
