I was really down on Orlando, but then I realized it isn't that bad. OK, so all the natural parks and forests are getting chomped by greedy developers. The city is also depressingly conservative but I feel like things are getting more balanced lately. hopefully!
But there is a really great club scene, more cool restauraunts are popping up, and the downtown has really revitalized itself in the last 10 years. You have access to some excruciatingly beautiful nature parks. And despite all the development there is still a very sweet and easygoing Orlando culture around, but you have to dig to get at it. |
