first is the worst, second is the best...

second time's a charm

My first time in London was extremely unpleasant, which made this visit all the more wonderful. Good weather in the summer and more time and persistance has paid off, although the tourist hordes are impenetrable!

I still find the city vastly overrated, but I was never an Anglophile. Thankfully London is cosmopolitan enough so that you don't get the feeling you are trapped in England.

Be sure to visit Brixton too!
I guess since I had lower expectations my second trip was nicer. If you know that the food is generally bad you will go outo f your way to seek out the good restaurants. if you know the city is flooded with tourists you'll know to whack them extra hard when they get in your way...

Pros:"supercosmopolitan, great streetstyle, and the best electronic music around!"
Cons:"too many tourists (like you!) and expensive!"
In A Nutshell:"don't miss out on the subculture and street fashion!"

Certainly interesting, and glad you said tourists. Bus too. But Wagamama, D&B and Camden don't cut the mustard for me. No no no. Ta-ra, Jem
