I love everything about Berlin and almost wouldn't want it any other way, except that it seems to change so much with each passing year that it becomes another way. And that's OK. I wouldn't want the city to stop being grumpy though. I wouldn't want the little old ladies to stop screaming at me on the street for walking the wrong way. i wouldn't want Kreuzberg to stop being so damn lesbian and politically correct. I wouldn't want Mtite to be less plastic--well, OK, maybe that could be changed. I think even the dogshit adds to the city's charm.
If I visited this country I couldn't imagine skipping Berlin.
I LOVE BERLIN!
- Pros:creative, affordable, vibrant, great nightlife, simply the best city in Germany!
- Cons:nasty winters, & sometimes not very cosmopolitan
- In a nutshell:a bohemian city in a hard, plastic 1960s kitsch shell

Not all skins are racist, lot of antifascist and antiracist skins all around x-berg, prenzl'berg, mitte (all downtowns areas; beware the far eastern areas.)
I have to assume this was written by an American to make such a huge presumption. I am a gay skinheadin Berlin.....not all skinheads are racists and trouble makers. There is an old saying; 'Don't judge a book by its cover'.
