Restaurant Name: Highland Coffee
The food is only so-so. What makes this place special is the atmosphere. Find a table outside on the sidewalk. This way you can watch the traffic along Dong Khoi and you'll have a terrific view of the Notredame Cathedral. It's nicest just an hour or two before sunset. It's reminiscent of the outdoor cafe's depicted in "The Quiet American," a movie based on the novel by Graham Greene.

Restaurant Name: Java Coffee Bar
If you like coffee, Java is a comfortable place to enjoy it. You'll also have a choice of a dozen or so deliciously flavored smoothies. If you're hungry, check out the menu. I haven't been disappointed yet!
Favorite Dish: Living so far from home (Los Angeles), I really miss western food. I often come to Java to get my fix. The cheesecake especially satisfies my sweet-tooth. =P It's not the cheapest place if you're on a tight budget,. A typical meal will cost you about 75,000 dong ($5 US).
