Kuala Lumpur is an ambitious city . The tallest building in the world , the longest un-manned subway system and so on and so forth . But this doesn't distract from its other charms . The stalls along Jalan Petaling , the food in Jalan Alor have remained the same throughout the years and time has done nothing to diminish their appeal . Jalan Bukit Bintang is still the main shopping belt , albeit with much more shopping centres than the last time i was here . Life still seems to move along at a slower pace . However , traffic conditions are starting to rival Bangkok as Kuala Lumpur moves up the ladder of development . Hopefully it doesn't lose it's soul in doing so .
