Turkey, my home for a few years...

by yoshimi - last update: Jan 15, 2003

Turkey, a great country:
- cheap accomodations
- great people (learn some Turkish before your trip it will open doors and lower prices!)
- lots of historical and authentic places (some crowded some not)

Check out these useful resources for info:
- 'Turkey' or 'Middle East' guidebooks by Lonely Planet
- 'Turquie' guidebook by Le Guide du Routard (for French speaking folks)
and 2 other books available in Turkey (written in Turkish and English):
- 'The undiscovered places of Turkey'
- 'The little hotel book'
both written by Sevan and Müjde NISANYAN (Boyut Yayin Grubu edition).

For people with some Turkish check out this site for useful phone numbers (airport, car rental....).
