Some historical fact that explain the name *KING'S CREEK*:
when Gaspar De Lemos,a Portuguese navigator,found this place,it was *King's Day* in Portugal,that's why!
Here a letter wrote from a navigator to Portugal,explaining how he felt there:
" SOMETIMES I FELT THE ECTASY OF THE FLOWERS AND TREES,PERFUME SO STRONG THAT I THOUGHT I HAD FOUND PARADISE.AND WHAT I'LL SAY OF THE GREAT NUMBER OF BIRDS,FULL OF COLLORS AND TUNES,HOW MANY AND HOW BEAUTIFUL?

Like many brazilian colonial cities,Angra was deeply influenced by the catholic church.
In a small area you find lots of churches and convents.
The downtow Angra was built in curves,following the wind that blows all day.
Besides the churches,there is a little left from the colonial buildings around the city.

Islands and sighseeing boats are certainly the first thing that comes to one's mind once there.
Ironically,one of the most pleasant tours in the place does not demands boats and in a certain moment,not even a car.
