This is called Bobbin Lace, and was most likely imported to Brazil from Europe. Bobbin Lace (as far as I know) originated in Brussels. There is a large group of Bobbin Lace artists on a small island near Venice, Italy called Burano. | blaird Fri Mar 10, 2006 22:55 UTC
