" PANTANAL ",is a huge area that,in Brazil,is located between the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso Do Sul.
It's an ecossistem with an extension of 230,000 km2,between Brazil,Bolivia,Paraguai and Argentina.The name sugests it's a swamp (Pantanal meaning in Portuguese),but,actually,it's a huge depression in a big valley between main rivers,what suffers from periodic inundations,specially from Paraguai River.
The ecosistem in the area is an unique habitat for thousands of animals and vegetation,which,without the special fact of the inundations,could not live anywhere else.Today,the ecotourism had been developed in order to protect these fauna & flora,as the area got very famous in and out Brazil,being the newest option of ecotourism in Brazil,besides Amazonas.

This flower,Camalote,is one of the examples in the Pantanal.
