THE LAST REFUGE FOR THE ATLANTIC FOREST WILDLIFE Fist of all,a small correction to the location of Sao Paulo on VT map:IT'S NOT LOCATED IN THE STATE OF RIO GRANDE DO SUL,but IN THE STATE OF SAO PAULO!!...And now for our issues here:Bocaina National Park is located along the Atlantic Forest, between the state of Rio De Janeiro and Sao Paulo. You explore the park walking,in an endless seeking for the waterfalls and rivers, in some of them, you need to go down to the water using the best of your imagination... Petar is a paradise of 180 caves, all available for your exploration!! And finally,Tiete Ecological Park is located in the banks of Tiete River!! |
| | PETAR This unique National Park is located in the State of Sao Paulo, near the border with the State of Parana. The word PETAR is a short name for Parque Estadual Turistico Do Alto Ribeiro, and has one of the largest cave concentrations in Brazil, with more than 180 caves. The water action in the lime stones formed caves with floor, walls and ceilings. Such caves are subdivided in grottos (horizontal forms) and abyss (vertical forms),of diferent diensions. |
" DAS POSSES " CASCADE One of the prizes for those who didn't give up the long journey!! Parque Da Bocaina. | | |
