Having just entered here, I do not know what to expect. I stumbled upon this page looking up Ireland - a place I would love to live, if not at least visit, one day...
I search for Ardmore--a small town, where people are friendly and the hospitality is great. I heard Ireland is a great place for both. =)
I would love to indulge in long, therapeutic walks along the beauty of Ireland--to breathe fresh air in the mornings, neighbors and townspeople who know you by name and greet you with it. To walk into a pub where you can recognize the faces of those who reside nearby, their smiles all too familiar. Before you order, the bartender knows what to get you-your usual- and asks casually about your day. A place where after a nice meal in a homey pub, I can walk back to a cottage, my cottage, and enjoy a kindling fire with a puppy in my lap and soft traditional irish music playing.
A place where I can enjoy the scenery from my window and fall asleep watching the sunset, only to be awoken, if that is a word, by the sunrise.
This is what I wish, and maybe it is something that only occurs in movies/fantasies/dreams, but somehow I feel my romantic heart tugging in the direction or Ireland, and its small town of Ardmore, by the water.
It is true, it is a place I have never been, and also one I have not seen, but I desperately crave to see it, and will do so, when I study abroad in London next year.
If you have seen or heard of Ardmore, please e-mail me...I would more than love to hear about it...
If you live in Ireland, I would love to learn about the place also..
For everyone- Please do not hesitate to write...
I will answer all with a smile and a thanks...
