I have been to Barcelona a few times and both me and my husband love it! It has something for everyone. Our favourite pastime is sitting at one of the cafes on the Ramblas with a large cold beer just watching the never ending stream of people.
We last stayed at the Hotel Lloret on the Ramblas. VERY HANDY.
We also found the public transport to be great. We got to Montserrat very easily and also found the nearby Costas very accesible.
Our favourite meal was a slice of tortilla, at least 3 inches thick and delicious.
I wish I were there now!
