Although my trip to Antarctica was in 1992 I still recall this place as one of the most spectacular sceneries. There are just 60 days a year where the weather is fine, the sky is clear and the ocean is calm and I was so lucky to get 7 of these 60 days. Please scroll down and share my memories ...
This is MS Vistamar, the cruise liner that brought us to here after a 5 days journey, startet at Punta Arenas/Chile, following the Beagle Canal, passing Cape Hoorn, crossing the Drake's Passage and finally reaching the Antarctica mainland at the Palmer peninsula. |
