My first impresson of this giant city was the spectacular approach to Kai Tak airport in the heart of Kowloon. Friends told me before that it is like flying through peoples livingrooms. I couldn't believe that, until I experienced it myself. I'm not kidding when I tell you, that I saw a man watching TV while I fastened my seatbelt. Visitors from today will miss this scenery as they will land at the new airport at Chep Lap Kok - and after all: this is the much more safer place for an airport. Anyway - it is still worth visiting that beautiful and multicultural hub of china |
