This was apart of my trip to Belize, we were only in Guatemala for 3 days, but i will never forget what i saw and did. This was the first time i had been in a country which spoke a different language, i thought it would be a lot tougher to get around. I also couldn't believe how cheap things could be. That you could get entire meal that would cost $12-15 cost only like $3-4... What beautiful little shops with handcarved masked, and blankets... We made our stay in Flores. A small little island town, beautiful cobblestone roads, everywhere you looked someone was busy doing something.
Our second day was spent at Tikal, one of the largest mayan ruins in all of central america. I had the oppurtunity to climb all 6 main temples. Saw tons of animals including the black howler monkey.
When coming back towards Belize what i truly loved was the amazing scenery Guatemala has to offer. So lush and tropical, which i didn't think existed. Neat little thatched roofs. |

I think if you went back and saw more of Guate though: Antigua, the city, there is so much more you would discover! I think you would love it!
