Many, Many Towns

Fairfax County is extrememly large and offers many interesting places to visit, to stay and in which to dine. It draws visitors from all over the world,. Those with interests in the Civil War, the Revolutionary War, and national monuments will have a wealth of things to see here.

Although the county was not created until 1742, the history of English settlement here spans from the 1600s to the present.

The shopping is also great.

One of the most famous sites here is Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington (pictured here.)

This site is presently under construction.

Where Is it?

Here is a map of Fairfax County indicating where most of the attractions of the county can be found.

Hi again. Browsing around your Fairfax County page. We're going to Leesburg next week and looking for a restaurant while day-tripping there. Marcia
