The Greatest of Them All

Skyscrapers
Well, after all, I am a New Yorker born and bred, even though I no longer live there. They have taken me out of New York, but they cannot take New York out of me.

The greatest city in the world is the easist city to get around in. the subway system is by far the best in the worlds, and it doesn't shut down at night.

New York City is located on the Eastern Atlantic coast at the mouth of the Hudson River at exactly 40 degrees 42 minutes 51 seconds north latitude and 74 degrees 0 minutes 23 seconds west longitude.

It is made up of five boroughs. Brooklyn and Queens are located on the western end of Long Island, separated from Manhattan by the East River. The Borough of Richmond, referred to by New Yorkers as Staten Island is an island in New York Harbor between Brooklyn and New Jersey. Manhattan is also an island separated from the mainland by the Hudson River. The Bronx, which is north of Manhattan, across the Harlem River, is attached to the mainland New York State.
View from Central Park
Central Park is a charming oasis in the center of the city. You can rent a boat and go out on the lake. There is quite a lot to do in the park.
Federal Hall
For a while (1789-1790,) New York was the capital of the United States. In fact, George Washington was inaugurated here. This is Federal Hall, the site of the inauguration. There is a statue of George Washington in front of the building. New York was the state capital until 1797. And by 1790 it was the largest city in the United States.

In 1898 a new charter incorporated all the five boroughs into New York City.

The exhibits listed in this tip are all in the past now. This museum's exhibits change frequently. Visit the museum's website for up to date information: http://www.americanindian.si.edu/

Moe Ginsburg, is out of business. The security guard of the building said it's been closed for about 2 years which translates roughly to March 2005. He said people still come here thinking that the place still exists, thanks to the internet.
