NASCAR - an American Phenomenon

This is automobile racing. It is supposedly the most popular spectator sport in the United States.

Personally, I have never attended any NASCAR event because it doesn't interest me. Yet fans who do attend are mesmerized by it. They talk about "dirty air" and other strange things.

If you like auto racing, by all means check it out.

Basketball was invented in the United States by Dr. James Naismith. He envisioned a non-contact sport which caught on with the public.

This is the favorite American pastime. Every American kid grows up attending baseball games and playing sand lot ball. Little League is a very big thing here.

But it's the major leagues that really count.

If you want to see the best in the owrld go to the professionsal games.

People are avid about their favorite teams. My favorite is the New York Giants, even though I live in a Redskins town.
