Where We Are

Map of North America
I live in Alexandria, VA. I have visited every state in the USA except Montana and Alaska. I have been through Canada and Mexico, as well as several central American Countries.

Most of my travels locally were done long ago. I began traveling as a small child with my parents. My memory may be faulty, and I can't find the old photos--I don't know what happened to them. At any rate, we drove everywhere.

In some cases I have listed places to visit that I personally have not seen. But others have recommended them to me. If that is the case, then the sites will be listed in my main paragraph rather than under the headings.

I am trying my best.

Important Information

We drive on the right. We pass to the left of the slower car. Don't cross double lines. Pass when line is dotted.

Our electricity is different from practically everywhere else-- 110volts. Plugs are double, sometimes with a ground wire plug in addition.

Your cell phone won't work here. We do not have GSM.

The USA is probably the only country in the world that still uses the English system of measurement. Not even England uses this any more.

Pros:"It,s large and offers a multitude of different scenery and climate."
Cons:"It's large and takes a lot of time to get around."
In A Nutshell:"Choose where you want to go and then go there."
