Capital of Oman
Muscat had been the capital of Oman since the third Al Bu Said ruler established his residence there in the 1780s.
The town is small being less than a kilmeter long and only half a kilometer wide. It is located on a rocky bay.
Pros and Cons
- Pros:Excellent shopping and very picturesque
- Cons:Very tiny
- In a nutshell:The shopping in the souk is excellent.

I've lived in Muscat for many years and simply love the place!
Its nice to hear that you enjoyed Muscat, I leave there. I hope you return to see other parts of Oman
