I think Zurich is one of the most beautiful cities in the world (thats why I'm still living here).
There are so many things to do and to see and it's so easy go get to Zurich from nearly every point on our planet.
In future I hope to be able to start my own webpage about Zurich with many nice pictures
I just list some things to do and to see:
- Many old churches (two on the picture)
- A great possibility to walk along the Lake in Zurich
- Many parks along the Lake or the Limmat River or take a boat trip over the lake
- Great shopping possibilities along the famous Bahnhofstrasse, the Niderdorf (old town) and in many other shopping centres around Zurich (if you know where to go you even find some cheap stuff but if you want to find some Rolex watches or Gucci stuff you have to spend a lot of money).
- Cinemas/Movies: There are around 25 different Movies in Zurich, but I think compared to other countries, the movies are very expensive and the movies start sometimes more than a half year later as they started in USA (but this is nearly in whole Europe the same problem).
- Museums: There is as example the Landesmusem (there you will find many interessting points of the Swiss History), in the Buerle Museum there are many Monet and Van Gogh paintings located or you could visit the Kunsthaus (where many Art objects and paintings are to visit)
- There is also the Uetliberg (a small hill located 400m over Zurich) where you can enjoy a great view over Zurich. You can eigther walk on the top or take the train.
- To go out I like: El Cubanito, Kaufleuten, Palais X-Tra, Wider Bar, Palavrion, Sixty One and in the Niederdorf you will find 100rd of nice Pubs and Bars!
