  • Tip Rating:
  • The Air Force Academy is pretty cool. I don't know that you'll be able to get in now, but you can try. )And I don't mean walking in on foot, dodging the MP's. That will get you shot.

I owe the credit for this photo to my good friend, dzni!
This is a picture of the Chapel. Unique!

  • Tip Rating:
  • The Fine Arts Center is also just south of Cache La Poudre Boulevard and Colorado College on Cascade, a bit farther south than the ANA. It is a nice museum, and is free for CC students and only about $5.00 USD to see some nice artwork.

  • Tip Rating:
  • US Olympic Training Center is located here. It's pretty neat to go see the Olympians train. I was going to visit to watch the judo, as I'm a judoka myself, and try to possibly train for a while with them. It never materialized, but oh well. Sometime. It's still a neat place and worth a visit.

  • Tip Rating:
  • Pikes Peak is a very large part of the COS landscape. At over 14,000 feet, Pikes Peak grants quite a view of the city. You can drive up to the summit by car, hike up, or take the cog railway located in Manitou Springs. The Bar Trail takes a while (over a day) to hike up, and is best during the late spring, summer, early fall.

Directions: West of the city, pretty hard to miss. From downtown, take Colorado Avenue into Manitou Springs, and follow signs for Cog Railway. I don't know how much it costs, but it is worth the price.

John, the Three Thieves Restaurant is the best steakhouse in town IMHO. Check it out the next time you're there. And in Denver, check out Casa Bonita.
