    • Favorite Thing: I know, I know... this map won't be a great help for you but at least you can see the town planning of Melk.
    At the foot of the map (on the left side) you can see the Danube river. And I think you can see the Melk Abby as well.
    On that map I marked the Tourist information.

     Regarding the statue of St. John Nepomuk, it is worth noting that the reason for placing it there was because of the bridge. He died when he was tossed into the river, with his hands and feet tied, from the main bridge of Prague, on order of the King.    		1courage Thu Jul 5, 2007 20:07 UTC
