The arrival to Paris was surely one of the more complicated one. Why? Because I left Vienna with my car at midnight, drove to Munich where I arrived at about 4:00 am. After check in and the flight I arrived in Paris in the morning. At that day I was so tired that I couldn´t do a lot. Now I am somehow sad because Paris has so many sights, I really wasted that day. You could ask me why I didn´t fly from Vienna. Well, for two reasons I decided to fly from Munich. I wanted to stay in Paris for about five days and then I wanted to visit Munich, Salzburg, Carinthia (the most southern province of Austria) and Venice. And for this plan I wanted to use my car. And the second reason, the flight from Munich was much cheaper.
So, let´s go back to Paris.

Day 1:
As I mentioned before, I was so tired that during that day I just checked the neighbourhood of the hotel where we lived. We, that means my friend Sandy and me, of course. After check in, lunch, shopping and a nap we met some friends of her and had a wonderful french dinner.

Day 2:
That day (on Sunday) we met Sandy´s best friend, a tour guide which introduced Paris perfectly. And she showed us a place where tourist never go to. (especially if they are only few days in Paris). We went to the countryside, to a village called Noisiel. Never heared of that village? Hmm... maybe of Menier? To say you the truth, I also didn´t know him, but the third key word was very familiar. Nestlé. In that nice village was the company of Menier/Nestlé. Really lovely, there. We walked around and it was a nice sunday afternoon. In the early evening we came back to Paris and I wanted to visit the first sights in Paris. Until now I didn´t see anything famous. We started that walk at the Townhall. Wow, at that day it was really a crowed place. Hmmm... Notre Dame is very near, I noticed when I checked the map. So we also went to that place. Really fantastic. Unfortunately we didn´t enter that church, I was sure in the next days we will do that. But we never had the chance anymore, at least not at this trip. After Notre Dame we went along the Seine, to the oldest bridge of Paris (Port Neuf), to the Louvre (not into the museum, it was too late at that time) and finally to Place Concorde. We also wanted to go Tour Eiffel, according the map it was quite near. But I didn´t chose the shortest way (sorry Sandy!!!) and we were too tired, so we gave it up and after a coffee we went back to the hotel.

Day 3:
We started this day at Arc de Triomphe. Unfortunately I forgot to buy some film for my camera in Vienna so I had to buy one in Paris. Wow, really expensive, about 50 FF but for VT I had to take some pictures. And not only for VT, of course ;-)
Well, I have to say, Arc de Triomphe is very impressing. After that sight we went at the Champs Élysees, one of the most fascinating street. We had dinner there and then we went to Place Concorde. From there we took the metro to go to Tour Eiffel. I have to say I didn´t expect that the Eiffel tower is that high. After a quite short waiting time (maybe 15-20 minutes) we took the elevator to the top. Sandy told me that we really had luck, probably in January you never needn´t to wait for a long time but in summer... Well, if you visit my Travelogues you will see the view from the Eiffel Tower. Really fascinating. That was the last sight for that day, a wonderful dinner, this time, what a surprise, a chinese dinner at Sandy´s ex-classmate´s home.

Day 4:
About this day I can´t write a lot. To visit the next sight we had to take the train. Sandy and I went to Charteau Versailles. If you are in Paris you should visit it. We stayed there all the day so there is not much to say about this day. Maybe just that we met some nice french people for a dinner in a typical french restaurant, where finished that day.

Day 5:
This was the last day and after I read in the Travel Guide I knew it will be a vey busy one. So we went to Montematre as soon as possible. The first sight was the basilica Sacre Couer. This time we also went INTO the church. Few meters of the basilica is the famous Place du Tertre. It´s a place were the artists do their job. Mostly painters. There we drank some coffee and although I knew there it´s a little bit more expensive that somewhere else, I was surprised to pay sooo much for a coffee. After the coffee we went back to deliver the souveniers we bought at Montematre. Shopping and a boat tour on the Seine were the next activities. We also visited a memorial where people remember the accident of Princess Diana and put flowers to that memorial. Finally we went to the Louvre. For maybe three hours, so you can imagine, absolutly not enough time to see everything. Just the Painting, the Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Etruscan Antiquities. And I found my favorite painter, it´s Salvator Rosa, an italian painter. A visit at Sandy´s friend´s home was the last activity in Paris because at the

Day 6:
we had to leave Paris.
