this place is mainly for koreans...its in the so called korean district of beijing...the place is constantly under construction so it can only get better...if your tour guide is the only person that can actually speak chinese then i suggest staying at this place b/c most of the stores and restaurants around it are owned by koreans...the hotel itself isn't too bad for the price...the rooms are clean and actually look pretty pleaseant but are very small...the best thing about it is that there is a health club, a sauna, swimming pool, karoke club, restaurants, pool parlor, convience store, bowling alley, internet cafe (internet cafes are still closed in beijing)...and a few other things which can all be accessed without having to speak chinese...
Unique Qualities: even outside of the hotel the place is pretty easy going for korean speakers...the beijing language university is about 5 mins away so you are bound to run into at least 25 or more korean students just walking from one end of the street to another...the whole neighborhood is very much a korea town...
