Gdynia is the third class citizen to Gdansk and Sopot. The town first began life as a small fishing village. Major growth came only after World War I, when the town was returned from Germany to Poland by the Treaty of Versailles. It is a popular destination with Poles for its seaside piers and beaches. It is of interest to any boat lover.

I dont think bathing in Gdanska bay is still forbidden,I remember when i wus a little child in 1991 in Hel it was forbidden,but i think the quality of seawater improved and u can take a bath,though the water is usually 15-18 celsius;)

Thanks for the warning about swimming at Sopot. I had heard that the pollution was bad in the Eastern areas Did not know it is that extreme. Your photos are lovely
