Border Town

The dividing line
Dherynia borders the occupied Northen Cyprus and there are several viewpoints within the town that give views of Famagusta.

The village is about 5 miles from the resort of Ayia Napa and a similar distance from the resort of Protaras. It is one the areas where you will have a chance to glimpse the Cypriot way of life. This is one of the areas where you will find locals living rather than just a place to work. The people within the area tend to be very friendly and easy going.

Around the main crossroads you will still find little cafes where the men sit drinking their little cuos of Cyprus coffee.
