Protaras is a purpose built resort. The building work still continues as a result of the property boom on the island.
The most publicised beach in Fig Tree Bay. I'd recommend it in March, April time but I'd give it a miss at the height of the season. There are loads of great beaches in this area and some don't get as busy.
- Pros:Many amenities for tourists, good watersports
- Cons:Lack of culture
