I have been to Paris three times now.The first time was in Feb 1997 and my boyfriend and I went there for a weekend and it was my birthday.It was on this trip that my boyfriend proposed to me! We were walking underneath the Eiffel tower at night,and it was beautiful.We were standing by these water fountains which -like the Eiffel tower-were lit up at night by different colour lights.The moment was magical.My boyfriend got down on one knee,held out a small box in his hand and asked me to marry him!We have now been engaged 6 years.On my 21st birthday we went back there again for a romantic weekend break and loved it. We've just come back from a week in Paris over the New Year and saw in 2003 on the Champs Elysees with lots of fireworks! Paris will always be special to us. |
