Nagoya is a nice place to live. The subway system is very convenient and safe. The fare is not so expensive and the downtown area is bicycle friendly. Sakae and Osukanon are the two most popular areas for shopping. In Sakae, there are lots of things to buy ranging from electronics equipment, clothes, and novelty items. There are lots of restaurants and bars for foreigners. HardRock coffee is a nice place to hang around. They play cool music and nice music videos. On the other hand, if you really like electronic gadgets such as computers and cameras, Osukannon is your place. If you know how to ask for the right price, you can have a very good bargain as high as 20-30% discount. Nagoya Port Aquarium and Higashiyama Park are nice areas to spend your weekend. Each of this area requires almost one day to explore. Be sure to bring your camera if you like animals to be your subjects of photography.... |
