Wow

I live in Rochester which is a small city in Western NY. I never realized how small until I visited Manhatten for a day. The movement of people was incredible, the action and activity, the food, shopping, and everything else was incredible. We visited on a holiday weekend so I cannot imagine how busy NYC is during the week or non-holiday weekend.

I went down with several friends and my wife specifically for a Yankees game (I am a Mets fan and had to endure some grief as a result). Even the Bronx had a good feel before and after the game. Once it Times Square I found myself constantly looking up at the buildings. Most were new that I saw, but keep looking and you find those older skyscrapers.

The sports vibe is awesome and so many places to get things as a baseball fan - they had a whole store in Times Square dedicated to the Yankees - Mets stuff hard to find, but I found some.
