  • JFK Library - opened Oct. 20, 1979, this monument was designed by I.M. Pei. It sit majestically on the point of Dorchester Bay and harbors a magnificent view of the Boston skyline. It houses a wealth of JFK memorabilia - documents, photographs, and tapes. Available for gala events, a wonderful setting.

  • Faneuil Hall Marketplace - this arena consists of 3 large buildings erected in 1826, redesigned in the late 1970's to serve as a prototype of urban renewal. Eleven of the original businesses remain today. Over 1 million people visit each month. Stroll leisurely about, pause for a picture with Ben Franklin, ponder the efforts of our fore-fathers.

  • Public Garden - a real gem of a park, this beauty was founded in 1861 and offers an abondance of fountains, gardens and labeled trees. Be sure and see the Swan Boats located in the Lagoon. Rides are available from 10 am to 4 pm daily, adults $1.75, children $.95. The pedal-powered boats gently glide beneath the smallest suspension bridge in the world. The wonderful Caldecott Award book, 'Make Way for Ducklings' by Robert McCloskey is situated here. During summer months free outdoor theater presentations please picnic-toting spectators who lounge on blankets. This year's production is Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

  • Boston Common - founded in 1634, this is the nation's oldest public park. It originally served as a grazing field for the colonists' cattle and also as a training field for men of arms. Commencement if the Revolutionary War by the British was from Park Square. Today, Bostonians come here to engage in a variety of activities such as concerts, craft fairs, exercise, and relaxation.

  • State House - at the entrance to Boston Commons, on Beacon Street, you can't help but see the beautiful gold-domedState House. Designed by Charles Bulfinch, it dates back to 1795 with the gold leaf added in 1874. Many historical documents are housed here, among them the original Massachusetts constitution which is the nation's oldest.

  • Park Street Church -Here was sung for the first time 'My country,'tis of thee' in 1831. This edifice, built in 1809 was also the site of William Garrison's famous anti-slavery speech two years earlier. Located at #1 Park Street, it is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, July and August.

  • Granary Burial Grounds - Located adjacent to Park Street Church, this 1660 cemetery contains the remains of Revolutionary heros such as John Hancock, Samuel Adams, Thomas Paine, and none other than Paul Revere. Benjamin Franklin's parents are also buried here along with Mother Goose!!! Go, see, and believe.
