This small and charming city lies inside the Yucatán Peninsula. It's close to Chichén Itzá, and it's a good place to spend the night so you can get up early and see the ruins before there are too many people there. There are also many cenotes in and around the city which you have to check out. If you don't have so much time and want to see as much as possible of the Yucatán peninsula, I would suggest just spending a few hours here, and use your time in other and more interesting places instead. But that's just my opinion, and I know many people would disagree with me... :)
