THE MARKET

Like most of the cities here in Gran Canaria, Santa Brigida has it's own weekly market and it's held every sunday. Not as good as the one in Teror but still worth a visit if you are nearby.

Buy freshly picked vegetables, flowers or local crafts. Enjoy the buzzing atmosphere of the market. Or do as the locals; just hang around and talk with other people... :)

SHOPPINGCENTRE

Santa Brigida has for a long time been one of the few big cities on the island to don't have a big shoppingcentre. The canarians loves their centro commerciales, and the island is one of the places in the world with most shoppingcentres per inhabitant.

So of course Santa Brigida has to have a centre too. The construction has started, and it is planned to be finished in 2005.
