HUNDERFOSSEN - attractionpark

This is a great attractionpark, especially for children. In the middle of the park is the world's largest Troll. Around the park you can find more than 50 different attractions like rafting, 4D movie, adventurecave, energy center, waxmuseum, farm theater, icefactory, swimmingpools with waterslides, car tracks for children, golddigger areas and much more.

LILLEPUTTHAMMER

A little north of Lillehammer is the interesting Lilleputthammer. This is a small-scale model (1:4) of how Lillehammer looked like in the beginning of the 1900's.

Very popular amongst children.

MAIHAUGEN

Maihaugen is a museum where you can see the life and work of people through the last 500 years. Houses, decoration and landscape are all designed according to their era.

You can take guided tours so you can learn more about the history. They also have different exhibitions.

MESNA - the river

Take a walk along the river! Start near Storgata and follow the river down towards the sea. It's a great experience.

Along the river you will also find signs that tell you more about the area, or the buildings next to the river. It's really a beautiful place.

STORGATA - the mainstreet

This is a pedestrial zone in the city, and it's the heart of Lillehammer. The street is lined with shops and restaurants. A nice place for a walk.

LYSGÅRDBAKKENE - the skijumps

The skijumps were built for the olympics in 1994. From the top you have a great view of the city! Right next to the skijumps is a restaurant where you can sit outside and enjoy the view.

Nearby are also some of the other arenas from the olympics, like Håkons Hall, Birkebeineren Skistadium, Kanthaugen Freestylearena and the the Lillehammer Olympic Bobarena.
