Stockholm, in western Wisconsin, was founded in 1854 by immigrants from Karlskoga, Sweden. It is located in a lush countryside, and the majestic bluffs presented visual images that still enchant. It provides an excellent view of the Mississippi River and a wealth of wildlife.

Several historic buildings in the small town remind its residents and visitors of its thriving past (used to be a commercial center). But now Stockholm has become a gathering place of artists and professional crafts people.

One will find museum quality antiques and art work created by regional artists. Pay special attention to its Amish quilts and furniture (more on this later) sold here.

Nice to know the Amish Country Store has a toll free 800 number. I just had to find some tip to rate and never knew about a Stockholm in Wisconsin before.
