Under Construction. Please come back later.
Honolulu page will cover everything we saw on Oahu Island.
-If you have only a few hours at Honolulu, you can take a bus from the Airport to downtown wandering around and visit <a href="http://virtualtourist.lowestfare.com/m/.101103/article/329/42/?s=p" target=newwindow><font color=blue size=+1> Iolani Palace </font> </a>, the only Royal Residence in USA
- <a href="http://virtualtourist.lowestfare.com/m/.101103/article/329/43/?s=D" target=newwindow><font color=blue size=+1> Waikiki Beach </font> </a> is the most popular, however the most crowded, beach for tourists (especially Japanese).
- <a href="http://virtualtourist.lowestfare.com/m/.101103/article/329/44/?s=i" target=newwindow> <font color=blue size=+1> Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel </font> </a>, the First Lady of Waikiki Beach, is a well ocean front hotel at the Waikiki.
- Another touristy activity at Waikiki is <a href="http://virtualtourist.lowestfare.com/m/.101103/article/329/45/?s=h" target=newwindow> <font color=blue size=+1> Shopping </font> </a>. There are many Duty-Free stores where you can buy various kinds of things specially from Hawaii (from macadamia nuts or coconut bra) or anything you can buy from any other parts of the world.
The International Market has many small stores selling typical Hawaiian attires to jewelry. Several galleries on the streets selling works by famous or not-that-famous-yet artists.
- If you like Pineapple, visit the <a href="http://virtualtourist.lowestfare.com/m/.101103/article/329/46/?s=X" target=newwindow> <font color=blue size=+1> Dole Pineapple Plantation </font> </a> where also the largest Maze in the world located.
- For those who do not know how to swim but would like to have some fun, try <a href="http://virtualtourist.lowestfare.com/m/.101103/article/329/47/?s=L" target=newwindow> <font color=blue size=+1> Hawaiian Parasail </font> </a>
- If you have a car, stay away from Waikiki, and go to other parts of the Oahu, for a full appreciation of the island, for example Maui Island (see my <a href="http://www.virtualtourist.com/m/.101103/1682/?s=d" target=newwindow> <font color=blue size=+1>Hawaii</font> </a>, <a href="http://www.virtualtourist.com/m/.101103/6642/?DM=1&s=F" target=newwindow> <font color=blue size=+1>Lahaina</font> </a> , and <a href="http://www.virtualtourist.com/m/.101103/6606/?s=H&DM=1" target=newwindow> <font color=blue size=+1>Hana</font> </a> page for more details). |
