Ulm is located at the bank of River Danube. We stopped by Ulm, on our way from Meersburg (at the Bodensee/Lake Constance) to Rothenburg, a well preserved medieval town.
With a GPS in hand, it was rather easy to locate the Ulm Cathedral, Munster, the one with the highest steeple in the world (168 meters). We did not have much time, all we did was to climb up 738 steps to the highest point allowed.
The other major tourist place would be Albert Einstein's birth place.
At the plaza in front of the cathedral, there were many such birds (above) bearing various themes. My favorite was this chubby angel. |
