While baased in the City of Munich it was exciting to be able to get out and about in the German Country side from time to time this page describes some of the things I was able to do.
Above is a picture of the most beautiful castle I have ever seen, inside and out.
King Ludwig spent much of his childhood in Hohenschwangau Castle. He laster selected an adjacent site for the castle below, called Neushwanstein Castle, or The Knight's Fortress, which is probably his most famous castle of all. There is an air of enchantment which envelops the romantic, silvery-white turrets. The most unusual thing about this castle is its unique location on a cliff face over the Pollat George and could not be more dramtic, with its breathtaking view over the Alps and Alpine foothills. The interior designs use motifs from German sagas of chivalry and from the musical dramas from Richard Wagner.
