This is Oslo in November 2001 - Who is really made to conquer this kind of weather?

Oslo, the Capital and the biggest city in Norway
Oslo is situated at the end of the Oslofjord in the south-eastern part of the country. The Oslo fjord at summer is probably one of the most scenic fjords in Norway, if not as spectacular as the fjords on the west coast. It is also Norway's main port, and its chief commercial, industrial, communication, and transportation center.
Recently Oslo celebrated its 1000 year birthday and has in between its long history been named "Christiania" by the great Norwegain/Danish King Christian IV. After the independece from Sweden in 1905 it was named back as the originally name OSLO.

Drive one hour west from Oslo and you will see snow covered mountains even in summer. The landscape and climate may seem predictable compared to the wild nature of other parts of Norway, but that is not absolutely true.

Oslo has the looks of a large city, but the wild nature is never far away. If you would like to go wild, the city is surrounded by "wilderness". Among the attractions of Oslo, we can mention the Viking Ship museum, the Holmenkollen ski jump, Royal Castle, The City Hall, Aker Brygge (the portside restaurant area), and Vigelandsparken. But of course there is more...
