Castle Amerongen

On a beautiful sunny Saturday in August we decide to drive by car to Amerongen.
I am sad I didn't took a picture of the ferry that brought us across the river Rijn to Amerongen with in the distance the Utrechtse heuvelrug. Believe me it looked so beautiful.
Also we park the car near the castle and start our bicycle tour towards Wijk bij Duurstede.
This route has not that much bicycle roads and unfortunatly a lot of motor and car clubs decide to use the same route that day.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:a beautiful area for a bike ride
  • Cons:unfortunatly there are not that many cycle path
