Deventer: A Hospitable Hanseatic City Deventer is one of the oldest cities of the Netherlands.
As a town with rights and privileges of a municipal corporation and imperial privileges, Deventer became a member of the Hanse pact.
Deventer has a very rich history with you can see at the squares, streets, houses and churches.
