I have been to Turkey twice this year, I went to Antalya early may and in October to Marmaris.
Antalya kept more from the old town and in my opinion is the nature more beautiful in Marmaris.
I noticed that not many people speak English in Antalya, they speak beter German.
Most off the people in Marmaris speak English.
But I can't really say which town I liked best, they where both great for spending a holiday!

The "food" comment by MATIM is totally wrong. It is against Islamic ways to keep food overnight. Leftovers are always thrown away. Of course there will always be unscrupulous people who will do this but it is definately AGAINST Islamic tenets.
Your travel pages are incredible, a wealth of information. During a visit to Konya I dined at a cafe situated in front of a hamam, next to a canal that reminded me of Holland. Turkey is a fantastic country & two visits are not enough to appreciate it :-))
nice info but you're wrong about food. I never got sick in turkey no matter where we ate. I know ppl that got sick in rich hotels though because of old jamon :)
so useful tips mate !! thanks a lot !! i appreciate so much
i see the children are getting big since last i looked . is salates a british or turkist word i could not find it in my dictionary.
The landscape here does look expeptional! Such an interesting piece of reading material. Thank you!
Awesome view...how did you manage to put the two dogs sleeping ?? :D
I was in Pamukkale too and I loved it. Thank you for bringing back my memories! Regards, Michael
Those dogs look cold laying on the chalk... wonderful story
WWhat a nice over view of Marmaris but could really avoid the food - good for slimming!
