Argentina,Bolivia,and Brazil surrounds PARAGUAY. The capital city Asuncion is on the Bay of
Asuncion. The population of Paraguay is 4.8million. The capital city has about 500,000 prople.Spanish is the official language,but Guarani is widely spoken.Some English is spoken. The currency is the Guarani(PYG) $1.00=about 3510.00(PYG)
The capital Asuncion is a busy city,plenty of hotel in all ranges.Budget rooms: US$5-10,
Top-end Hotel:US$20 on up. Paraguay is not expensive, $25-$45US per day should allow a enough comfort for the usual traveler. The city of Asuncion has many parks,plaza,and many street side markets,where just about anything can be bought. Leather goods are are a good buy. Most foreigners require VISA for a stay up three months. Currency is the GUARANI. The
international departure tax is US $15 Armed robberies , car thefts, and burglaries are on the rise. Pickpocketing and mugging in the cities is quite common, Be aware and careful.
