A wonderful place I ever have been. Full of the legends of the Northwest in this place. In antient China, merchants went aboard to trade their products, so Gansu became an important place they must go through and became the main part of silkroad. Because of this history, there are lots of stories and culture reserved from ancient China. In Gansu Province the most famous landscape is Dunhuang Cave, in which are full of the murals. All the murals are more than 2,000 years old, and now you can still see the figures clearly. There are about 1,000 caves and innumerable murals there .This pic is about the white elephant. You can see its fresh color and vivid designings. |
| | The Huanghe River More than 5,000 years ago, ancient Chinese people began to live along the Huanghe River. As every Chinese, the Huanghe River is the cradle of Chinese civilization and the river of life. Because a great amount of sand depositting on the river bed, the color of the river is yellow. The Huanghe River goes across Lanzhou, so you may see the quiet part of the river and grand bridges. Everytime I see her, I always feel excited and proud. |
