I have choosen Koblenz for starting my car trip on the Rhine Valley. I came from Koln and drove trough the old city, asking for The Deutsches Eck (German Corner), where I have heard that the Mosella river meets the big Rhine River. Before getting on to the Rhine Valley I have spent a few hours on the area arround Deutsches Eck and St. Castor's Church. As I walked on the Rhine river bank I was impressed by the quiet and the peaceful athmosphere of this place. I thought then I must return here to acommodate in one of the hotels near the Rhine and make a longer journey on the Rhine Valley, taking also some boat trips (thing that I didn't do this time). |

aytum57 Fri Dec 29, 2006 04:08 UTC Hello. I am coming from Bacharach. I would love to see Burg Katz. Any tips on how to get there without driving? Many thanks. | Mariajoy Fri Jul 8, 2005 16:05 UTC Great page! I really enjoyed my visit here last week - Kaiser Wilhelm's horse IS really impressive :) Unfortunately I didn't get to see the Loreley rock! |
