Accomodation can be a problem in Lindau. Of course this is very true for the island. Off the island there might be more chances, but on the island everybody is going crazy. First, the information bureau was closed in midday when we got there, because it was weekend (?!). Then, the information panel there showed vacancies and prices .. when calling the hotels, either there were no vacancies, or the price was way over the one posted. Beside the 180EUR and up rooms at the fancy hotels on the marina, the cheapest rooms are 80EUR and you will run like hell when you will see those. Poorly lit, in an attic somewhere, with greasy owners. Well, I'm exagerating a little, but you won't find decent accomodation under 120EUR - like a three star hotel right near the Info point and the railway station.
