Entrance to the castle

In fact, this is what you see while inside the castle's first court (on the windows), you see the back of the entrance, but it looks the same from the outside :)

One important thing: You can order the tickets online using the link below

Neuschwanstein Castle - Bavaria - Germany - Schloss Neuschwanstein

Neuschwanstein Castle - Bavaria - Germany

Neuschwenstein scenery

Starting your way up to the Neuschwenstein Castle, looking up, it's a beautiful sight: the forest in the foreground, the castle and the mountains (not to mention the skies, of course in nice weather.

I have one giant poster at home with Castle Neuschwenstein .. that picture is taken from a total different angle, probably not easily to access by tourists. I can't scan that poster to show it to you, but if you go there, BUY ONE or TWO, they look great at home. :)

Schloss (Castle) Neuschwenstein - Schloss Neuschwanstein

Schloss (Castle) Neuschwenstein

Have you seen a more sexy castle?

Isn't it pretty? That day wasn't exactly the best for admiring, because it was raining, but still, the castle's exterior architecture, and it's interiors were adorable to look at. This Ludvig of Bavaria did a ver good job building it. Pretty good real estate. :))

Neuschwenstein Castle - Bavaria - Germany - Schloss Neuschwanstein

Neuschwenstein Castle - Bavaria - Germany

Neuschwenstein - viewed from Hochenschwangau

Oh gosh, two long tong twisting names in one sentence..Did I get that right? Well, that's about seing one castle from another. It was like a little hobby (like VT) for Ludvig, to start building another castle for himself, but still see the "homecastle".

Neuschwenstein is a little higher, more into the mountains, another style.

By the way, of yourse you know this is the castle who inspired Walt Disney in all of his castle stories. You see this castle at the beginning of every Disney movie.

Abyss below Marien Brucke - Schloss Neuschwanstein

Abyss below Marien Brucke

Look down if you dare!

I guess that more than 80% of the tourist visiting Neuschwenstein Castle were also on the Marien Brucke. I had heard from a good friend of mine (fam_stoica), that the best place to see the castle in whole is from this bridge. Therefore, after taking the bus from the vicinity of the ticket office, you should look out for signs to this bridge - Marien Brucke. While on the bridge, there are two or three things to be seen: the castle of course, the view in front and the view above. I guess some of that 20% I was telling you about are people afraid with height. But for the rest of us the view is quite spectacular, being above a few dozen meters of precipice.

And here is the bridge, viewed from the windows of the castle. It's pretty scary, isn't it? So high above the abyss.

Tip: Enlarge the picture on the left to see the bridge more clear.

This is the famous Castle Neuschwenstein - Schloss Neuschwanstein
This is the famous Castle Neuschwenstein

And here it is..This is the famous castle Neuschwenstein in Bavaria..The name is a little complicated, but you don't have to spell it right to enjoy it..or do you?

Neuschwanstein Castle was built between 1869 and 1886 under King Ludwig II of Bavaria. It was built on the ruins of "Vorder- und Hinterhohenschwangau" in the style of a medieval castle.

This picture is taken from Marien Brucke (bridge), which is a very strategic placed bridge, and very high between two mountains, built for the prince to have a far view of his castle.
